Sonny`s BBQ in Concord

The food is always great here, although, my most recent experience wasn’t that great. We went through the drive through and had to remind them at the window after paying for our food for the bbq sauces and ranch dressing. We didn’t think to go through the bag prior to getting all the way back home in Mount Holly and they forgot the slaw. The one thing that comes very standard with bbq, ribs or whatever from a bbq joint🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice place to go for lunch. BBQ is good but not the best I ever tasted. Mac and cheese was yummy they did have a salad bar that looked really good that I didn't try. Prices were a little high for what you got. Got an 18 tray with different things thinking you could split and there was not enough food for two people.

Great spot near the Concord Mills Mall, Raceway and Convention center. Ask for Kayla, the best waitstaff ever! The Brisket was melt in your mouth tender, the sampler was a great selection with pulled pork, smoked chicken and ribs with brisket. The sweet tea was REAL SOUTHERN SWEET TEA!! Their riff on banana pudding was light and very tasty! Check it out next time you're in the Concord area!

Food was good, staff courteous. Very expensive considering their completions prices. Five star because of cleanliness and friendliness of staff.

They remodeled Sonny's. I'm so pleased with the look and feel. The waitress was nice and helpful. If your looking for a place to eat. Then Sonny's BBQ is where it's at.

I always have a positive experience when I visit this Sonny's. The food is always perfect right down to the crispy fries I request. Service is always great. Everyone is fast, efficient, and always kind. This location always looks nice and clean. I also am a fan of the renovations. Even though they weren't finished, I liked what has been completed thus far.

Waiter was good but they were out of slice barbecue they were 6in our group three ordered slice so had to order something else that was a manager mistake after we drove over and hour to get there we were disappointed

This was our first time here. Service was great from entrance to the end. The food was delicious and portion was great. The waitress was great and had the best customer service we have seen in a long time. We will return.

Delicious! I don't understand why this food doesn't cost more. Servings are a good size, warm and did I mention delicious yet? Everything in the pic we enjoyed.

Love my Sonny's BBQ! Sonny's is a treat for us when traveling through KY. We always look forward to stopping in for once off our favorite spots.

Restaurant has been completely remodeled inside. We were there on a very busy night and there were some issues with how long we waited for food and with the quality, but this was the first time we have had that issue. Food is generally very good and the service is good as well.

Lost good employees, missing something now. Probably won't go back!

The all you can eat ribs for 15.00 and you can switch the sides AND you can pick chicken or pork ribs.....AND the sauces were great....let me tell you something....good damn bbq

Food was ok but I expected a bit more traditional southern BBQ.

My 1st time at Sonny's. Service was pleasant. The waitress (Ashley) was a sweetheart. Helped me select some goodies & explained things to me. I had brisket... not the best felt it was kinda dry, but the sauces helped a lot. This location is under construction. They are doing an awesome job. And everything clean. I'd go back

I love ya'lls ribs and the "sweet sizzling" sauce, tried the brisket this time and it was great too!!

So I haven't bee. To Sonny's in quite awhile & after going last week, I couldn't tell you why. The Mac & Cheese was creamy & my sandwich was MEAT. Definitely a great place for the family & good food.

The food from Sonny's BBQ is so good. This momma bear was craving BBQ. Glad I selected this restaurant.

I am not a review writer. However this experience is well worth writing about. Long story short. I called in an order for this past Saturday night. When I got home I realized my order was not correct. I called in and spoke to Tina. She did an awesome job handling the situation and made it right. We made plans for me to come pick up the food Monday night as that was most convenient for me. I called Monday and picked up my food very easily. Shoutout to Tina and the entire crew at the Concord location. You all are truly exceptional!

2 Fridays in a row, not disappointed!! Food is grand, atmosphere is awesome and staff bends over backwards for you. We love you Sonnys

The food was amazing in my opinion. Objectively the presentation of the food was really nice as well and my family thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was served to us in a timely manner and the waitress could not have been more polite. Me and my family were all very impressed with the quality, presentation, and really nice service. We decided to stop here because this place has a lot of good reviews on Google and the good reviews that made us stop here are accurate.

Great experience at Sonny's BBQ by Concord Mills. The Red Neck egg rolls are wicked good, then I got the three meat combo (pulled pork, smoked chicken wings and ribs). Oh my goodness!! Great service and great food. Currently remolding store, nice updated look too. You need to visit!!

Good food. I absolutely love their salad bar. You can order an endless salad bar and an entree of meat (bbq or chicken, they may have some other choices, I am not sure). The food is really delicious and wait staff has always been super friendly.

We always love to go to Sonny's BBQ. This is the first time that we've been to this location. We were very pleased with the service and the food. Some of the things that we ordered we're the Redneck Eggrolls, the Sweet Carolina sandwich, the men got the All-you-can-eat ribs, of course, a few sweet teas and a couple beers and we were having a good time all round. If you've never been to Sonny's BBQ, I highly recommend you go as often as you can.

The remodel looks great. Our server was great. The sandwich was great. Kids meal great. We will be back for sure. We did the lunch special. A lot of food for our money.

I had stopped coming to this location for over a year because of how tuff the meat was. On Mother's Day I decided to give them one more chance, but the only thing that was redeeming about the place was the remodeling of the restaurant. The quality of food was the worst I ever had from Sonny's. Will not be back.

The food was good, nothing extraordinary, our waitress was very nice and attentive, kind of expensive for how plain the food tasted.

Excellent! Love Sonny's! Haven't had Sonny's in a few years since living in Florida. Found this location while traveling through Charlotte and it was as great as I remember. This location has recently been renovated and I like the new look. Service and food were excellent!

Not sure if this was an off night for Sonny's but we got seated, had our order taken, but twice on two separate orders we were told they had to check to see if they had the items we wanted. Watched 3 other families get their food before us when they were seated after us. And finally when the food arrived 45 minutes after it was ordered, some of it was cold...we were given 10% off so there was that...hears great things, will never go again to that particular Sonny's.

Food is good. Just get it to go. The service is not so great

First time there tonight and it was awesome! The salad bar was excellent and had a lot of choices. I had a grilled chicken sandwich — very tasty and ok great garlic bread. My tea was perfect, and our server kept it refilled regularly. Great experience!

The food is delicious, but check your to go orders before leaving. Our first carry out the bread was wrong.Second carry out order was fine.Third carry out order picked up today was wrong. The cole slaw was missing from both orders. Rib platter and pulled pork platter. Slaw was listed on the receipt stapled to the bag. They gave us two pieces of garlic bread on both like that would make up the slaw. It didn't. I will think twice before ordering from there again.

This place is AWESOME, our waitress was polite and very attentive and the food was done so fast we had not even finished our appetizers before our main course arrived. We had the family feast and it was so packed with food that even after we were full it did not look like we had even touched it. We had the red neck egg rolls and they were great. If you want really good bbq at reasonable prices then you need to go here.

I ordered the smoked , and dry rubbed wings. There was zero smoke flavor. I also had the smoked Turkey it lacked flavor, and tasted very similar to deli meat.

We had a party of 14 for our daughter's birthday and had the best service ever tonight. Our servers Seneca and Ashley were amazing! The food was terrific (as always) and the price was very low for the high quality of food. We've been to this location several times and have always had a good experience!

Great sides. Quick service. Ribs were great! Barbeque, chicken, and brisket were all dry and tasteless. Brisket was very poorly done. Average experience and won't be returning.

It's under construction. It was decent BBQ. I enjoyed the pulled pork the most. Had the sample platter. Staff was on top of things!

They just remodel the place and it looked great the food was ok

Definitely a remodel that was needed but, the whole staff was completely unorganized. Seemed like none knew who was waiting on each customer. Slow as all get out, getting your food, or even to get a refill on a drink. Had several apologies from different wait staff for all the delays, but not even a complementary drink to at least show a thank you, for putting up with all of their "issues", there. Not sure what's going on at this location, but either people including mgmt, needs to be retrained or dismissed. This used to be a good place for good hot food, with really good service, but certainly not this time around.Will not return.

First time at this restaurant. The food was amazing! The prices were very reasonable. The service was great! They have specials every day. We will definitely visit again.
